Dear Community Members,
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In recognition of this important month, instead of our usual community meeting, we will be opening our meeting time for a special Domestic Violence Awareness Information Session presented by Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr.
You may wonder, “Why should I attend if domestic violence isn’t affecting me?”
Because someday, someone you know may need you.
Domestic violence can affect a friend, neighbor, coworker, family member, or someone in our community, often without others knowing what is happening. This special presentation will help you recognize warning signs, learn what resources are available, and understand how to safely help someone who may need support.
